Asher's Helmet

Asher has plagiocephaly (a flat head) and will need to wear his helmet for 3-6 months to give him a nice round head. We chose camouflage for the design...Michigan State decor was not available much to Steve's dismay. So far, Asher seems to be adjusting well to wearing it. After a five day ramp up, he will be wearing it 23 hours per day. We will have to have a bit of an adjustment over his right eye...otherwise he's going to have a perma-wink for the next few months and I wouldn't want it to stay permanent!

In other news, he has also started sitting up in the last week...my baby is growing up...too fast! He has such a sweet and sunny disposition...he smiles at everything! He is also quite vocal...he let's you know when he wants/needs something. Next week he will be SIX months old!! We will be starting solids...and hopefully more regularly sleeping through the night! We love you Asher!

So Big...Too Big

My baby girl is growing up...it's amazing to see her doing new things every.single.day. Her new feats include but are not limited to:
*jumping on two feet*
*putting on her own socks*
*putting on her own shoes*
*putting on her own shirt*
* eating with regular silverware*
*singing in their entirety her ABCs, twinkle twinkle little star and Jesus love me*
(When she thinks you are not listening - she'll sing louder and her sweet voice melts my heart every time!)
I love her more and more each and every day...but no matter how big she grows...she will always be my.sweet.baby.girl.

Halloween 2009

Blogger decided to insert these in random order and since I am trying to reign in my anal retentiveness...I decided to leave them as is...

(the aftermath)

Hope you enjoyed peeking in on my babies.
We are so very blessed.

What next?

There are some things Saela has determined she likes:
my hairbands...donned by herself
and
Asher's pacifiers.

She just looks so funny to me because she never took a pacifier. Now, when she sees them - she will put them in and walk around saying "Asher's paci, Asher's paci." It is really too funny!

Monkey Love

"What can I say? I'm just that kissable!"

Ziiiiiiiiiiip...

...shshshshsh. Ziiiiiiiiiiiiip-shshshshsh. This is the sound the monkey makes on Asher's car seat.

I hear this from the front seat of the car...just an auditory reminder that he is not only smart enough but also strong enough to pull it down and watch it return to it's starting position.

He's growing up way.too.fast.
