Tummy Time

Asher is becoming an expert at this tummy time stuff. He does still prefer, however, to practice tummy time while lying on someone's chest versus the play mat...and he's so cute we do let him get away with that from time to time. Saela continues to love her little brother - she was giving him some pointers and showing him all of the animals on the play mat. Asher is 7 weeks and 2 days old today...he is starting to develop some napping/sleeping patterns and that is nice for all of us! I went back to work last week and survived but Monday morning was sure tough. This weekend we are hanging out and watching some golf (The Open Championship) - hope everyone else is relaxing as well.

Grandpa Ellwein

Asher already has much to say to Grandpa E.

Saela and Grandpa on the stairs - one of her favorite places to play.

Grandpa Ellwein was also able to visit us in June and meet little Ash - (although he's really not that little!) Saela spent a lot of time entertaining Grandpa with her books and dolls - they had a great time. Asher and Grandpa spent much of their time together snuggling! It's hard to believe that this was all a month ago already - we miss you!

The Green Cousins

Saela, Connor, Caleb, Gavin, Tessa and Asher

Saela and Asher had the pleasure of seeing/meeting all of their cousins in June when they visited with their parents. We had a great time spending a few days together and Grandpa and Grandma Green were thrilled to have all their grandchildren together for a picture.

Random pics and SIX WEEK STATS

Length: 23 inches (85th percentile)

Weight: 13 lbs 11 oz (97th percentile)

My Sweet Asher...how the time has flown! How can it be that you are six weeks old already? I want you to know how very much I have enjoyed getting to know you over the last six weeks. We have spent much time cuddling and well - just looking at each other. You are smiling more everyday and are a delight to all of us. Your big sister, Saela, loves you to pieces and wants to hold, hug, and kiss you everyday. You have watched baseball and O'Reilly with your daddy and according to him have enjoyed every minute. I'm sure he cannot wait for you to enjoy Spartan football and basketball as well. I have tried to memorize everything about this time with you - your looks, your *laughs*, your coos, your baby breath and the way you pull in your bottom left lip just like your sister did at this age. Your sister will always be my baby girl and you will forever and always be my sweet baby boy and I love you so very much. Mommy

Happy July 4th!

We all hope this holiday finds you happy and healthy. I know those who frequent the blog would like to see some new pictures - but I have been challenged in this area of late. My camera is still "out of town" and our computers are not "reading" the data off our other camera cards...so I will update with new pictures when I have the ability to do so.

Asher is doing well...he is starting to make some random cooing sounds which are a delight to hear. He is still eating every 2-3 hours which makes for some long nights - but he's so cute and cuddly that all of the "tiredness" is worthwhile. Saela continues to love on her little brother and always asks about him right away when I pick her up from daycare.

Saela has started "asking" to go to bed...when she is tired she says "nigh night." This has actually ended up earlier bedtimes (let's keep that little secret.) She actually went to bed tonight at 7:15 pm. Now, I would be in business if I learned to go to bed a little bit earlier.

Steve and I had a relaxing day at home. He finished up some yard work (and it looks great) and I actually cooked 4 meals (8 servings) to freeze for when I go back to work. Try to catch your breath - yes, I cooked. Then we had a nice dinner and are now going to have some homemade ice cream before hitting the sack.

Love, the Greens
