Announcing...

...the birth of Kaylee May, daughter of my sister, Kara, and brother-in-law, Ben. Kaylee arrived at 8:30 pm on 7/29/08 weighing in at 8 pounds 11 ounces and standing 21 inches tall. Saela is very excited to meet her cousin in a few short weeks when we travel to Minnesota. Congratulations to the new family! Love, the Greens

Two New "Looks"

"The Worried Look"

"The Pout"

We are not entirely certain what caused these looks but we thought they were worthy of a blog posting. Saela has busted out "the pout" on one or two occasions followed by a brief half-hearted crying spell - luckily she is easily distracted!

A Day of Firsts

1st barrettes

1st wagon ride

1st nap in a wagon

1st life jacket

1st boat ride

We had the opportunity to spend Saturday at Lake Fenton with some friends that have a place on the water. Saela dressed up for the occasion with new hair accessories - although she would rather have put them in her mouth than actually wear them. She LOVED LOVED LOVED the wagon ride and clearly was so comfortable that she decided to take an afternoon siesta. She STRONGLY DISLIKED her life jacket and cried all the way to the point where we anchored and then all the way back. She was quite the happy camper, however, while her life jacket was off. She passed out on our drive home - it was a very relaxing day for all!

Umm, excuse me Jilly...

...would you please stop sniffing my butt, I am trying to show off my latest feat. Grandma Green gave Saela a new toy and she has turned into a toddler! It seems to be just what she needed to get her feet moving! It is so much fun just watching her WALK around! We can hardly believe that she will be a year old in LESS THAN A MONTH!!!!! This year has truly been one of the fastest to pass by and most say that the years only come and go quicker from here on out! Steve and I have tried to take in every moment - and as much as we anticipate each new accomplishment - we don't wish for her to grow too fast either. When life starts to get hectic, we remind ourselves that she will only be this little for this very moment - so enjoy it thoroughly! Have a great weekend!

Saela, Jax & Jilly

Saela trying out Daddy's chair and showing us who is in charge.

Jilly in her favorite place - all snuggled into her bed in our room.

Jax, although comfortable, would rather be outside chasing the ball and his sad face is saying, "Mama, take me OUTSIDE PLEASE!?!?!?!"

Wouldn't You...

...like to...
...know what...
...I'm thinking?

Well let's get on the phone and chat about it - maybe I'll tell you my secrets!
