NINE MONTHS OLD...yesterday...

Okay, so I'm a day late - but here are Saela's NINE month stats:

Height 28" = 75th percentile

Weight 21# = 90th percentile

In the last week, she has started pulling up on everything and can do it completely on her own now. She is even showing a bit of bravery and attempting to go "no-handed" - however she promptly falls on her little behind. She is cutting her second tooth and it seems to be much less traumatic than the first time around. We have found that she enjoys her Pack-n-Play used as a playpen which has allowed Steve and I to actually make some progress on the house. We may be unpacked someday. The Face of Determination...

...and what you may ask was the object of her intention?

That would be... ...the tag on her playmat! Saela along with every other baby I know loves tags. The person who invented the "Taggies" blanket must be making a mint.

Although this last pose was a bit "staged" for a photo op - Saela is beginning to pull herself up on various pieces of furniture - including her crib! She woke up from her nap yesterday a bit ornery and there she was standing up looking at her door like "how could you have left me in here?" She has her NINE month check-up tomorrow - so I will post new stats! We hope you all had a nice weekend!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all moms! I had a marvelous first Mother's Day and couldn't ask for a sweeter daughter to share with Steve. I thank God every day for all of the blessings that have bestowed on me. Steve helped Saela make the gift in the middle picture and Saela "signed" her first card to me. She gave me chocolate - a girl after my own heart! We sure hope that everyone was able to celebrate the day with family and friends.
