Call Us Crazy!

Well - the last week has been a bit crazy for the Greens!

First of all - one night - Saela slept for 6.5 hours. Now this may not seem like a long time to some of you - but it was like heaven for us. We are consistently getting 4-5 hours stretches - so we are moving towards sleeping through the night - maybe that is what Santa will bring us for Christmas.

On Wednesday (12/5) we made an offer on a house, on Thursday there was a counter offer, and on Friday (12/7) all of the necessary paperwork was signed to complete the deal. We are closing AND moving on Friday, December 21st. Let's do the math - that is only 11 DAYS from today. Our current home has not been sold - so if anybody is looking for a vacation house in Lansing, Michigan please let me know at your earliest convenience.

We began packing over the weekend. Jax & Jilly cannot quite figure out what is going on with boxes here, there, and everywhere. Jilly, however, did find two bones that have been missing and she is on cloud 9.

We attended two Christmas parties over the weekend thanks to our sitter Margo and Grandma Green watching Saela for us. We also managed to get pictures of Saela and the dogs for our Christmas card. (FYI - the return label on our cards this year will have our new address.) We will spend the next 10 days packing and then move in on 12/21/07. One of our first orders of business will be to put up our Christmas tree - just in time for the holiday.

I will do my best over the next couple of weeks - but there may be a number of days between posts as we get moved and resettled. We hope you are enjoying this joyous season!

the Greens

Saela's Response...

...to the question..."Will you sleep through the night?"

Guess I better go to bed now :).

Saela started really "talking" to us this last week. She is cooing all of the time now and it is music to our ears. She is also continuing to grow so fast. She is already in most of her 3-6 month clothes. I need to organize her drawers and pack away her newborn and 0-3 month clothes :(. Time, I can see, will now be measured by her milestones - and it is going TOO FAST. We are looking forward to our first Christmas with her - but there is a lot to be accomplished before we will actually be ready for the holiday. It looks like Sunday will be the official blog update day and if I can find some time - I'll try to throw in some bonus weekday pictures. We hope all are enjoying this joyous season! Caught up!

Disclaimer: Scroll all the way down for today's date to see all of the posts from the last week. (The posts are separated - but all under today's date.)
I know Mr. Dog - I can't believe they put Mr. Cat so close to you either.

Smiles on a Sunday morning!

Whew - that took awhile - but I'm caught up. Hopefully I won't get so far behind again! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Thanksgiving

This is what Saela was wearing on her first Thanksgiving - however I didn't snap a picture before she had a major blowout. (No worries - it's been washed.)

Needless to say, we have much to be thankful for this year. Our beautiful daughter turned three months old on Thanksgiving Day and we can no longer imagine life without her. We will always be thankful for all of the prayers that have been said for her in her short life. She continues to grow and change daily. It is amazing how her simple smile can melt your heart over and over again.

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and wish all a wonderful holiday season!

Love,
Steve, Brenna, Saela, Jax & Jilly

We are quite certain she could be the next Gerber Baby...(of course we may be a tad biased.)

(Don't Worry the Car was Parked)

Hey Dad - may I drive?

Vroom vroom...and away we go!
