A Few Days in May...
...okay, I know in a few short hours it will be August (the month in which I will turn 35 by the way-how is that possible?) and I have had a month off...but well, I've been busy! We are unpacked...more unpacked than we have been in nearly seven years and it feels really good. The kids have been in swimming lessons and are really starting to get the hang of what they are being taught. Saela started pre-K (a post on that to come) and Asher has expanded his vocabulary ten-fold! Here are some pictures from back in May when we visited MN for Logan's baptism (when we had our family pictures taken that I posted previously) and then Asher's actual birthday...enjoy!
Saela and Kaylee May loved to hold hands and it was SO sweet!
Our attempt at a group picture at JD Hoyts one of Grandpa Bill's favorite restaurants in Minneapolis. Saela looks thrilled (not) and Kaylee is ready to bolt!
Logan (aka Logy), Asher and Grandma T waiting for brownies that Aunt Kara made to celebrate an early birthday for Asher and actual birthday for Steve!
Here is Asher on his 2nd birthday back home in Tennessee! Doesn't he look old! He's had to roll with us...born in MI, 1st birthday in NC and 2nd birthday in TN!Monday, July 4, 2011

Family Pictures
May 22, 2011

What a day! Our nephew and Godson, Logan, was baptized early in the morning. Then Steve was taken to an urgent care and diagnosed with strep throat. All day it was literally pouring.down.rain. Our back-up plan for pictures was a warehouse studio in Minneapolis. A tornado ripped through Minneapolis about 90 minutes before our scheduled picture time and hit two blocks away from our back-up studio location! Less than an hour before our picture session, the rain stopped, the sun came out and we were able to make some memories. Thanks be to God. Thanks also to an old friend and photographer, LeAnne Johansen, for being flexible and capturing the beauty of the moment.Wednesday, June 22, 2011
The Beach Part VI: Wiped Out
The End of a Great Day!

All in all, we had a fantastic day. We are so glad that we made our first trip to the ocean prior to leaving NC. Needless to say, everybody slept very well that night. As for us now - the kids and Steve have been in TN since Memorial weekend and I have not seen them since the day after Memorial Day. It has been incredibly difficult to be away...but in two days I will be there... reunited and I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!
