...I met the first love of my life on my 24th birthday. We met at Tom and Stacy's wedding (Happy Ninth) and the rest is, shall we say, history.
Steve and Saela greeted me this morning with cards and chocolate - what a perfect way to start the day! Steve and I went out to a nice dinner and then I took a shower - all.by.myself. I even shaved my legs. It was heavenly.
Now, after I whip up Asher's bottles for tomorrow, I am going to relax and go to bed early...(without picking up the house - this one may be a little tough for me - but I think I can do it.) :)
Thanks to all for a GREAT birthday!

What a Weekend!
Here Saela is patiently waiting for her first pancake of the day.
(She ate three!)
Asher hanging out in his chair thinking..."hmm, I need to
figure out how to get my hands on one of those pancakes."
new skill of putting ON her socks. (She mastered taking them off awhile ago - most often while we are driving in the car!)
I'm not above smiling to get your attention.

We survived our first childhood completely preventable accident this weekend. After we finished the pancakes, Saela leaned onto the still hot burner (even with both of us literally within in one foot of her) and burnt the backs of her last three fingers on her left hand. Luckily, it wasn't too bad and she is fine now. It really reminded Steve and I that you have to be hyper vigilant with a toddler - as things like this literally do happen within the blink of an eye. We both felt awful! Keep those little ones safe!

No Picture No Picture

Saela continues to develop her personality. Here she is having a mild temper tantrum and saying "no picture, no picture." Luckily, for us, most of her *tantrums* are mild and short lived since she is relatively easily distracted. Her current favorite sayings are "no way," "aw man" and when she doesn't want to say/repeat something I ask her she says "tired, tired, tired."

Grandma Time

My mom was able to visit us for a few days last month...better late then never on the pics - right? She was able to spend a day just with Asher and then a day with both of them. Saela LOVED having her "Gamma" with her to play. The week she visited was my second week back to work. It's hard to believe that I've just started my fourth week back already. Time is going too fast. Asher is already over two months old - how can that be? More pictures to come soon...
