Hello All - this is my first official post on the blog. Mom has been busy lately taking care of me, so I thought I'd give her a break and catch all of you up. Last Friday, I had my *weight check* and had gained 14 ounces in ONE WEEK...the doctor amusingly said that I was gaining fine and would not need to come in for another weight check. (That 14 oz put me at 9 lbs 15 ounces - so surely, I am over 10 lbs now.) I am trying to sleep better at night for my parents...last night I slept from 12:30 am-3:50 am which will be my new record to beat! My sweet sister, Saela, loves to hold me and give me pats. She calls me *Ashes*. We read books together with Mommy - she's a little more "into" them than I am...I think, over time, she will teach me a lot. Mom and Dad are impressed with her ABC song, her counting (everything starts out at 4, 5, 6,6,4,5 etc.) and the fact that she recognizes her written name. We have visitors coming for the next few days, so we'll post some pics when we get a free moment or two. I am looking forward to meeting all of you in the future! Love, Asher
