Happy New Year to ALL! We have had quite a year in 2007...
In May, Daddy graduated from the University of Notre Dame with an Executive MBA. He worked really hard and we are all very proud of him. He has continued to work from his home office for IBM - which has been nice because I get to see him a lot during the day. He went deer hunting this year with his family - but did not get one. I have a sneaking suspicion that Mom wasn't too disappointed about that particular outcome.
Mom continues to work toward finishing her residency. After my arrival, she went back to work in October - she's doing well despite wishing she could spend more time with me. She has accepted a position in Flint, MI for when she finishes her residency at Michigan State. She will be joining a private practice with two other highly respected PM&R doctors. She will start in March of 2008.
As most of you know, I arrived on 8.22.07. I had quite an experience my first couple of weeks here on earth. I am just over four months old now and am in the 75th percentile for weight and head circumference and the 50th percentile for length. Mommy and Daddy tell me that I am perfect in every way. I smile all the time now and am just about ready to let out a loud belly laugh. I've discovered my hands and they are always in my mouth. I tend to alternate between sticking my whole right hand in my mouth and sucking my left thumb. I haven't quite mastered rolling over yet - but mom thinks that is going to occur any day now.
Jax and Jilly are doing well - I think they've both become accustomed to my presence. That's a good thing since I'm here to stay! Jax continues to love playing ball and would spend all day outside if we let him. Jilly has her nose to the ground while she's outside but prefers to cuddle up next to us in the house.
We have moved to Grand Blanc, Michigan to be closer to Mom's work. It was a crazy move and we are still living amongst boxes - but we have all the time in the world to unpack now. Jax and Jilly are starting to get used to the new set up - but they were sure wondering what was going on for the first few days. We officially received an offer on our house in Lansing on 12/31. We are very relieved and feel very blessed that it only to 6.5 months to sell our house. If all goes well, we will be closing at the end of January. It's a little sad as that is where we started our family - but with every door that closes another one opens just waiting for us to walk through.
We are very thankful to God for all of the blessings bestowed on us this year. We cannot thank our family and friends enough for all of the love, support, and prayers you have given us throughout the year - especially during my hospital stay. I know my recovery was hastened because of your prayers. We wish all of you a wonderful God Blessed year in 2008.
Love - Saela Green and Family
